12/1/2006 - New Record Update!! Well, we are slowly moving along with the new record. Looking like a spring release. I always think these things take less time, but I am impatient. I think I'm driving Sean nuts! But, I guess good things come to those who wait, and believe me this one will be worth the wait. We have a couple of other things cookin to look forward to in the new year, as well. Big promo push for the new CD. Radio, Print, going back to some of our favorite places. I even heard a rumor that another TV show wants to license some of the new songs. What will happen!?!? Is this true?!?!? Am I just delusional?!??! We'll all just have to be patient...Even me.

10/20/2006 - We Want To Come To Your Homes! The Commons’ first house party a success. Thanks to our good friends Maureen Walsh and Jeff Bamberg (and of course John), our first house party down in Arlington, VA was truly one of the best gigs we ever played. We met some amazing people, shared so many stories about our music, and drank some great wine (a lot of it actually). We are very much looking forward to doing it again soon. Thanks so much!
That being said, The Commons are open hire for any house party. Imagine a “storytellers” type show in the accommodations of your own home. We can adapt to any playing environment (from full on amplified to stripped down acoustic and anywhere in between). You let us know and we’ll make it work. Any interested parties please contact us at info@thecommons.net.
9/27/2006 - Still chuggin along Hey all, getting really close with the new record. Sean is hard at work twisting the knobs, to make sure it sounds perfect. We're on a little hiatus for the next couple of weeks to work on the new record, as well as for brother Tommy's upcoming nuptiuals. Anyway, still trying to talk Sean into posting a couple of snippets of the new record on the site. I think I'm wearing him down, and can get y'all a sneak preview. Stay tuned!!
8/14/2006 - New Record Update!! So, we have been hard at work on the new record. Things are a little upside down right now, just a lot of songs, and a lot of ideas. We are working with about 16 songs, so it's taking some time. We promise, the end result will be worth the wait. Some recent songs we have been working on are "Gas Huffin Housewife" and "Terry "the kid" Knox". We may have a snippet or two preview towards the end of the summer. Remember, you can always come out to a show and check out the new songs live..hint, hint!! Anyway, until next time.
7/11/2006 - "China" on "Modirn Music Sampler Vol. 3" We recently contributed our song, "China", to the new compilation "Modirn Music Sampler Vol. 3". The release show is Thursday July 13th at Sin-e in NYC. Keith will be opening the night, at 7:30 sharp, with a 1/2 hour acoustic performance. We'd like to thank Mark Landgraf, at Modirn Records, for choosing "China" to be a part of his label's latest release. Hope to see you at Sin-e!! More Info...

I played three songs, Jesus Had A Brother (from COGG), Don't Go On Me (Dirt Waffle), and Hey Josephine (unreleased). Kind of a past, present, future thing. All these songs are available via Podcast from the Courier News. Be sure to check out the "to cool for school" photo they took of me. A bloated classic!!

11/2/2005 - Final Radio Update We have had a solid campaign and this is the
final
week, so let me hit you with some final numbers. Over the last several
weeks, we made it onto the charts at 8 stations: KSLU-1, KWSB, WDTS
[still
climbing!], WKNH, WKPX, WOSP, WRDP and WVYC! A total of 186 stations
added
the album to their rotations with 140 stations that spun the album in
at
least light rotation and 38 that spun it in at least medium rotation. This is great exposure for us, and we would like to thank all the stations that are playing "Dirt Waffle". We would also like to thank the Planetary Group for doing a great job in promoting our record! We will have a complete list of all the stations up asap.
Thanks!
10/26/2005 - Radio Update # 7 Numbers this week are looking good. We have 151 stations that are on
board
with "Dirt Waffle" including charting action from WDTS in Georgetown,
DE
[#14] and WVYC in York, PA [#28]! Additionally, we have 116 stations
spinning the album in at least light rotation including CJSW, KCSB,
WRCT and
WUML. One week to go!
10/19/2005 - New Press & Radio Update # 6 Check out the press page for a review of "Dirt Waffle", from this weeks Aquarian Weekly! KSLU-1 in St. Louis came on board,#22 this week. They are notoriously a very picky station, so
charting
there is very cool. We're still rocking at WDTS and we'll keep it
going. Tune in next week for another update. Thanks!

Thanks to everyone who came out to see us! Big thanks to WERS for promoting the show! We would also like to thank Dana & the Johnny D's staff for treating us so well. Here is the radio update for week # 5. We had WDTS charting the
record
this week at #27, up from #28 last week. KWAR, KWSB, RLC, and WKPX are
bringing in the medium rotation again this week and light spins are

with a total of 109 stations that have the album in their respective rotation
with sixty-one of those stations spinning the album in at least light rotation!
Chart wise, we have some nice numbers to report: we're #1 (yes, number
one!) at WOSP in Jacksonville, FL and we debuted at #28 at WDTS in Georgetown, DE,
although we did have some near misses at some stations. We are still in the neighborhood, so things are looking good. The complete station list will be up shortly. Thanks!

playing
the CD. Indeed. Each week more and more stations on board, each week,
more
and more spins. In total, we are now added at more than 75 places now.
This
week we held onto KWSB and jumped on the top 30 at WRDP, but we had a
couple
near misses, and one non-reporter so our total slipped to 2 stations.
The
good news is, that they all still have us in the chart neighborhood,
Still plenty of stations to press for adds and spins. 75 stations and counting!! Until next week.
